Carnival Corp Suit Against Virginia Pilots Association
According to this article in The Virginian-Pilot, Carnival Corp. filed suit against the Virginia Pilots Association over their fees.
Carnival Corp. filed suit against the Virginia Pilot Association this week, seeking to recoup about $350,000 in what it says are overcharges by the pilots, which steer ships between the Atlantic Ocean and docking points in the port of Hampton Roads.
The giant cruise line's lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court, extends a three-year-old dispute over what are essentially valet parking charges for ships.
